What can you tell me about Hannah The Pet Society?

We havde two cats that we would like to put on pet care plans. We went to the HtPS website and found no information about costs-just a form to become a member and have a “consultant” talk to us. Does anyone know what it would cost approximately?

Simply: Don’t

It’s a scam business run by an asshole of a veterinarian solely to add to his pockets. Also avoid anything to do with PetStupid (err, PetSmart) or the Banfield veterinary scammers.

The whole racket is headed by a self-centered creep that uses outdated supplies, poor business practices, and crap services passed off as elite care. The bastard doesn’t care about anything except himself - screw the employees, clients, and patients.

Hannah doesn’t like to tell people this but when you sign up for them, they claim ownership of your pet and the right to make all medical decisions, including end of life.

Here’s another article from six months ago, talking about a protest of Hannah because they provided lousy vet service and someone’s dog died after suffering while Hannah vets gave him the run around -

I would stay away from this group.

What the… This is freaking insane!!! What loving pet owner would agree to this?

Pet owners who don’t read the fine print, presumably. Like I said, Hannah doesn’t like to talk about this in the sale pitch.

Your warnings, along with what I’ve found online about both the Banfield Pet Hospital chain and Hannah The Pet Society, have convinced us to look elsewhere. We have seen a lot of good written about Nationwide’s pet insurance, and it’s high on more than one site’s Top Ten list.
