What celebrities in their 90's do you now most hope make it their big 100th birthday?

A few others that I didn’t see mentioned:

Marla Gibbs - 90
Tippi Hedren - 91
William Daniels - 94
Eva Marie Saint - 97
Nehemiah Persoff - 102 (!)

Going with an unusual one here: Lois Smith (91). She’s had a very long career (her first movie was East of Eden in 1955 and she has some credits going back to 1951). She’s still actively working, on films like The Nice Guys, The Comedian, Marjorie Prime, Lady Bird, Uncle Frank, Tesla, and The French Dispatch.

Bernard Cribbins (which reminds me of
another thread where the guy should’ve been mentioned, which I’ll now remedy…)

Does this mean the thread has now devolved into just “name celebrities who are at least 90,” and we’re ignoring the “most hope make it to their big 100th birthday” part?

Phyllis Coates (the original Lois Lane in the 1950s Superman TV-series, plus star of the “Panther Girl of the Kongo” serial, and many others) will turn 95 on January 15, 2022.

“Why don’t you talk properly?”

I had honestly forgotten about the original intent of the OP. I was just so amazed by Nehemiah Persoff’s age that I included him without thinking about it. Sorry about that!

Mel Brooks would be my only answer. Not that I wish everyone else to drop dead but Mel is far ahead of everyone else in my mind.

He needs to release his “History of the World: Part II” movie around his 100th birthday. In the credits he can be listed as Mel “I was there!” Brooks.

Yes, I imagine if we included older celebs, not yet 90, a lot of people would have gone for Elvis who turns 87 in a couple of days.

It’s true and sometimes shocking to realize he would not even be 90 yet.

Obviously, MLK was a life cut short and he could still be alive if he had not died. I believe MLK, Anne Frank, and Barbara Walters are all the same age. She died as a child, MLK as a still pretty young man, and Walters is still with us.

First one mentioned in this thread to die, just five days after being mentioned.

That’s what keeps most people from still being alive.

Heh, true. I mean that he could still be alive had he not been cut down young in life. Christopher Marlowe, on the other hand, would definitely not be still alive no matter what happened in his life.

I was watching The Muppet Show on Disney+ and I see British jazz singer Cleo Laine is 94.

She’s not a celebrity. She’s a Head of State.

That’s an odd distinction. She’s a celebrity because she’s famous. She’s famous because she a Head of State.

Or, if you prefer, Tom Cruise is not a celebrity. He’s an actor.
