Possibly this should be in GQ, but it does deal with entertainment so…

What comic said, “If it’s not new and it’s not Mexico, why do we call it New Mexico?”

I am pretty certain it wasn’t George Carlin, but I think it might have been a Carlin wanna be a number of years ago. Does anyone know just who?

IIRC, in an episode of Seinfeld, Jerry deliberately tries to tank his set* in front of the network execs in order to make the house cold for Kenny Banya. It’s the one where Kramer is oiling himself with butter which generates weird thoughts in Newman.

*Complete with suspenders, of course.
