April R, clearly there’s nobody (well, nobody with any sense anyway) who really saw anything wrong with your remark, that E C modded. Both you and Happy Lendervedder got a major outpouring of support both in that thread and this one.
(As a matter of fact, I was about to post a similar snark of my own about that very same phrase in Sorority Drama Queen’s letter, until I saw that you beat me to it.)
Given the context, Ascenray’s remark: “Sorority members are definitely not hos. They’re just in occupational training so they will know how to be hos. Huge difference.” was every bit equally reasonable to post there.
I take it that your comment: “Why wasn’t that remark about sororities being training grounds for hos moderated?” was purely rhetorical. You didn’t really think that needed modding, did you?
AND, by the way: In that thread and this one, there have been so many mentions of Sorority Drama Queen’s “unintended double-entendres”. Really? Who believes that any of them were unintended? Not me. She knew what she was writing.
I did think it needed modding if that was the standard now. I wasn’t upset, just taken aback, at my mild scolding. I figured it was what was considered off limits now and wanted to at least see consistency in the modding if that was the case. As a result, I am now a little gun shy to make any other sexual jokes. Which may be for the better, since I am not that funny anyway 
I’m one of the ones saying “unintended double-entendres”. I have to assume they are unintended when they undermine the message she is trying to send. For instance, the specific remark that April R made was a play on the word “suck” and how to be popular with the frat boy guests. I don’t believe the girl actually was referring to blow jobs with that remark.
Many of her sexual words were being used as intensifiers, not typically indended to actually refer to sex. Though I believe “cunt punt” was specifically meant to declare her intent to kick her fellow sorority members in their crotch. That remark is not intended sexually, but does explicitly refer to anatomy.
In other words, not all of her sexual words were double entendres, they were just slang cursing for dramatic effect that contributed to an overall feel of sexual tension. A few of her remarks were double entendres, and those were seemingly to me unintentional.
Still waiting.
Of course, the honorable thing to do would be to admit the post that prompted this thread should not have been moderated, that there is no paradigm shift, and that the mods in question are sorry for the confusion.
I’m disappointed at how little mod participation there has been in these threads.
