What constitutes an "other event" (non quake) on the USGS site?

My home page is the USGS earthquake map, set to the island of Hawaii.

Lately the map has been peppered with small diamonds, indicating “other events” mostly 20-40k deep and located in the ocean around the southeast side, not far from the Loihi Seamount, though a couple have been on land. The info for these events looks like this.

What are these events? In the past I have only seen them used to represent explosions, but that’s not what’s going on here. Then my next thought was landslides, but if that were the case then the depth wouldn’t be underground.

Also, are they indicative of anything interesting starting up? I haven’t read any news about what’s happening, so I suppose probably not. But I’m very curious.
