For the sake of clarity, you aren’t allowed to Pit him for posting about pedophilia because he’s not allowed to talk about it anymore. You may Pit him for other activities and personality defects. If you see him posting in the future (i.e., with time stamps after the one on this post) about pedophilia the thing to do is report the post.

After the events of the last few days, it’s hard to imagine that thread as being anything but an attack on him, so, yes, that would constitute provocation.

Just for the record, it was not my intention to start such a thread, but the idea immediately occurred to me on reading the ruling, and I thought an early disinterested question from someone who didn’t have a dog in the fight - me - and a ruling from the powers that be - that’s you, twickster, you’re a power that be - might prevent a further blowout. Actually, I believe Fenris quoted correctly(I saw the same quote), posted his addition to it, then the original post was corrected either at the same time or very shortly thereafter.

As it stands now, it seems to me that we can’t pit him because if we do, it might provoke him into saying something he shouldn’t.

Well, as best I can tell from all this (granted, haven’t seen the posting history of both of them), both pduol and Caesario have admitted to being pedophiles, the difference is that pduol has said he has never acted on that attraction, and Caesario said he had.

(The last was from the “I am not a monster” Pit thread.)
