My guess would be India.
According to Wiki, 30% of Indians are vegetarians.
Out of a billion people.
So, yeah, probably them.
India is almost certianly number one. Huge base population and a high percentage for religious vegetarianism.
Number two’s a lot harder to figure. I’d guess the United States; population is about 300,000,000 and a quick online search says about 3% are vegetarians, so figure around 9,000,000 vegetrians.
By vegetarian do you mean; ovo-lacto-vegetarian (included eggs & dairy), lacto-vegetarian (most Indian vegetarians), ovo-vegetarian, or vegan (no animal products at all)?
