Wednesday or the 16th?
It’s neither, because it’s Thursday 17th.
Wednesday. The 16th is the date.
Wednesday the 16th.
In most cases I would just say it’s Wednesday. For the next 6 days I would likely refer to this day as Wednesday. After a week, it becomes “the 16th.”
The day is Wednesday. The date is: the 16th, the 16th of March, Wednesday the 16th, or Wednesday the 16th of March.
If someone asked me “What day is it?” I’d say Wednesday; if they wanted to hear “the 16th,” they would have to ask me “What’s the date today?”
“What day is it?” gets Wednesday, but if someone were to ask me “What’s today?” I would answer with the date (even though they might just as well be asking about the day).
Is it pre- or post-crisis?
