What determines the number of threads in a forum?

Who or what determines the number of threads displayed in each forum? For instance, the number of threads displayed in the Pit is much less than the number shown in most of the other forums. The oldest thread in the Pit is from yesterday, while the oldest in Elections is from April 25.

Is there rhyme or reason behind this?

Scroll down to the bottom of the page in a forum. You’ll see something called “Display Options”. It gives you the choice of the number of threads you see, by date. So it’ll say, “Display all threads from ‘last year’,” etc.

System wide default is two days worth unless you indicate more or less in most forum area – the lesser traveled forums may have a longer default so you see a page full. And you can change it to what you like, either temporarily at the bottom of the forum pages or in your UserCP.
