Awhile ago, I went to some kind of orthopedist or perhaps a chiropractic neurologist for back pain. He had some device with maybe 50-100 little needle-like electrodes to help hm pinpoint which nerves were affected by my back issues. I didn’t go through with it because the “view wasn’t worth the climb”, as they say. But, does anyone know the name for whatever device this might have been? And, what kind of doctor typically uses such a device?
Sounds like a variant on the equipment to do an electromyelogram and/or nerve conduction test.
Before my spinal surgery, my neurosurgeon ordered up a couple of them for me to get more data on what was wrong. As medical tests go, it’s a bit unpleasant.
