what did people predict would happen in 2003?

As a followup to my previous Google Groups thread here’s some predictions people made in the past about what was likely to occur in 2003.

From 1994

So far, the Indian dream of an Ayala has only found full
expression in Panama. Brazil and Costa Rica – the only Central
American nation to sign a 1989 treaty recognizing Indian control
over their own affairs – have taken partial steps towards meeting
Indian aspirations. But some leaders are optimistic. Donald
Rojas, head of the Brunca nation in Costa Rica, believes that by
the end of the Indian decade in 2003 there will be at least one
delegate at the UN representing an Indian nation.

From 1994 :

contradictory?)

From 1995 :

they predict that china will have higher standards of living in 2003
than America or Europe ( Herld Tribune)

They were wrong. Everyone who has ever said that - and they have been legion - has been wrong. He won’t ever fall, and he probably won’t die either.

He must have the Holy Grail or the One Ring, or one of those things.
