:dubious: Okay, the movie’s not so old but the phrase definitely is; Google Ngrams, again, records the use of “[someone’s] blood was up” as early as 1800.

I’ve no doubt it’s an old phrase, essentially synonymous with adrenaline rush. I was just leery about using Hollywood as a cite for mid-1800s vernacular. :slight_smile:
