What do I tell prospective employers if they ask why I'm leaving my current job?

hey there,relax-- sorry if I hurt you. I didnt say that you are the one in the wrong, and I didnt say you shouldnt be bitter. I did say that you really don’t have much choice except to “shut up and take orders”.It ain’t justice, it ain’t fun, and it may even be illegal–but that’s the reality of it.If you want to get paid, you gotta do what your boss wants. If you don’t want to get paid, feel free to tell her she’s an idiot.

Now if you want revenge–it looks like you have some possiblities.Report your boss to upper management–the ones who wrote the handbook. You have evidence in her own handwriting of those extra job duties she wrote on your complaint sheet. After you get a new job, during your last week, file an official complaint with upper management.Make the complaint long and detailed–how many duties have you been given that other employees werent, how often they were changed,on what dates, etc.End the complaint by saying you overheard the boss make a racist slur about a customer. They will have to treat the complaint through formal procedures. They may ignore your verbal charges, but you have written evidence that will have to be included in the files, and it will remain in your boss’s personal file for the rest of her life at the company, making her look bad long after you’ve forgotten about her.

I’m just curious: Is this Kinko’s you’re talking about? I was about to start a thread asking if anyone had worked at Kinko’s and what their experiences were. I’m thinking about applying at a few here since I have skills with InDesign and such that I’d like to put to use this summer. I understand you don’t want to identify the company in this thread, but if you’re comfortable e-mailing me, I’d be curious. (I assume you wouldn’t recommend it.)
