If it’s a clear night, try to find the Southern Cross.
When you see the Southern Cross for the first time, you understand now why you came this way. ‘Cause the truth you might be runnin’ from is so small.
Speaking as someone who had a tour van seat rip off the floor while in Fiji - “Hey! I can see the road below us, where the seat used to be connected!” - sometimes the journey really is half the fun. But I’m glad you’re enjoying your stay anyway. Forecast up here in Broward is low 60s or high 70s for the overnight low. You are several hours driving time south of me, and should be a little warmer than that.
I love that I can spend New Years in shorts and a t-shirt. I’m going to a luau tonight to celebrate.
Enjoy the rest of your stay!
Wow, I am so sorry to hear that. The trip sounded so cool! At least you made it to the Keys. You’re close to Bahia Honda, and I’ve heard good things about the No Name Pub in Big Pine Key. For something real touristy, go feed the tarpon at Robbie’s in Islamorada.
Enjoy the rest of your trip. Was the restaurant Pepe’s?
