What do the following have in common? (game)

Their real names are all Reggie?

They are all knights?
Luke - Jedi Knight Elton John - Knighted King Arthur - Obviously
The Phantom - Just guessing on that one

Yep. Damn.

Stranger

I wanna play! I wanna play!

What do the following have in common: Andrew Jackson, Rutherford B. Hayes, Bill Clinton, David Copperfield (the literary character, not the magician) and Mary Queen of Scots (the most famous beheaded one) all have in common?

:smack:

Remove Mary from the list above. You can replace her with filmmaker and Hyannisport clan member Rory Kennedy.

Sampiro
I thought you had to correcly guess the most recent one in order to ask a new one. I’m not sure if I answered the Luke Skywalker, Elton John, etc correctly but let’s wait and see.

I thought the answer was “they all got incestuous kisses from their sister” (or that might just be Luke and Arthur).

Correct! The first Phantom was a knight of the Joanitsorder.

Nah, let’s not be so rigid. Ask as much as you like.

Sorry Priceguy and Sampiro
Well then let’s have everyone ask away. But I guess I’ve “earned” my asking privilige (sp?). By the way Priceguy, this is a great game and one of the few to use inductive reasoning - (formulating a general rule when given a group of specific items. Heck, it’s the scientific method).

Okay what do these 4 have in common?**

  1. Bill Clinton 2) Ross Perot 3) George Bush Senior 4) Jay Leno**

I’ll rule out the obvious answers:

  • They are all male, US citizens, born in the 20th century.

All Harley owners?

They’re also all Greek fraternity brothers, but I don’t think that’s it. Does it have anything to do with languages?

They were all parodied on SNL during the 1992 season?

(The Clinton, Hayes, Jackson, Copperfield and Rory Kennedy answer is they were all born after their father died incidentally.)

All left-handed?

Twickster has it !!!
All 4 are left-handed !!!

Okay, here’s one –

Louis Armstrong, Hedy Lamarr, Norman Mailer, Gloria Swanson.

devilish smile

Let me know if y’all want me to add a few more names to the list as a hint…

Married 4 or more times.
I think Gloria Swanson, Norman Mailer and Heddy Lamarr were married 6 times - not to each other of course.
Louis Armstrong a mere four.

Of course, there may be something else they have in common that you were thinking of.

That’s HEADLEY!

Sorry.

What the hell are you worried about? This is 1874. You’ll be able to sue her !!!

Nope – and my source has Satchmo as six, also. Doesn’t list 'em, though, so let’s not call that an actual cite.

In case that wasn’t clear, the “nope” was to “there might be something else.” The much-married guess was correct.
