I’m with you about the gay issue. It’s the same as anthing else. Race, religion ,looks,whatever it’s all about passing judgment on the person standing next to you, down the street, across the ocean, where ever. Omegaman, those were not for you at all. I tried to delete my entire post, then put an explanation in the “reason for edit field” (see above), but it wouldn’t let me submit an edit without something in it.

So I added the roll-eye’s re: what was below the line you originally quoted. I reconsidered (and roll-eyed) because I wasn’t sure if the entire post below what you quoted was what the poster seriously believed (and I wanted to think about it) (first rolleye) and dared not dwell on the possible implications of let’s say, race, if they were serious (second rolleye).

This is horrible. There’s no denying that.

But why does it need to make national news? How does it affect anybody outside of that family? Why do their need to be 4300 online articles about it already? It’s a sick fucking tragedy by a demented mind, the human equivalent of a tornado or a rabid dog, but it’s not national newsworthy. (And I’ll admit I enjoyed the Anna Nicole trainwreck as much as the next person, but I’ll also freely admit that wasn’t newsworthy either.)
