Here.
I’m curious what other people call it because I calls it
sellotape
and I’m fairly certain that it isn’t universal at all at all.

Scotch tape.
Scotch tape
I call it a bad link. Page won’t load.
But if it’s what I think it is, it’s Scotch tape.
Cellotape or sticky tape.
Cellophane tape, unless it’s of the 1.5-2" wide variety (hard to tell scale), in which case I call it packing tape.
[Nevermind; my eyes must be going!]
Scotch tape, clear tape, giftwrapping tape, cellophane tape.
Me too
New Zealander living in the UK, I call that sellotape.
If it’s small, scotch tape. If it’s large, packing tape.
Scotch tape, or just ‘tape’.
I think both ‘Scotch tape’ and ‘Sellotape’ are brand names.
Scotch tape as well.
Yeah I call it sellotape, but that’s a brand name. They used to say ‘sticky back plastic’ on kids’ shows and that always puzzled me as a kid.
Tape or Scotch tape.
Other types of tape are referred to by brand or usage: Masking tape, painter’s tape, duct tape, electrical tape, etc…
Tape. Unless, as another poster mentioned, it is wide, then it is packing tape.
“Scotch tape” if it’s 1" wide or less, “packing tape” if it’s the stuff that’s 2" wide.
Anything between 1" and 2" simply creates a cognitive dissonance and I just point and say “sticky, sticky, sticky.”
Tape or scotch tape. I’ve only heard cellotape a handful of times.

An Gadai, you went to so much trouble to spoiler your response, yet it was in the name of the link itself, which kind of gave it away.
I would just call it “tape,” since it’s a little hard to tell from the picture exactly what kind of tape it is (or what you would use it for).
ETA: Your name for it is the British term, which I’ve heard Brits, and only Brits, use.
Ah yeah I know but I couldn’t be arsed finding another pic. Spoilering was kinda silly anyway.
ETA: Them’s fightin’ words.
