What do you consider to be the Greatest Albums of All Time

Skipping over several that have already been mentioned,

Captain and Me - Doobie Bros
To Our Children’s Children’s Children - Moody Blues

The Yes Album (Yes) and Hollywood Town Hall (Jayhawks) are great albums.

I was going to nominate that one.

In no particular order, a few more I don’t think have been listed:

“A Boy Named Goo” - Goo Goo Dolls
“Boston” - Boston
“Hotel California” - Eagles
“Who’s Next” - The Who
“Silk Degrees” - Boz Scaggs
“Welcome Home” - 'Til Tuesday
“Strength” - The Alarm

These are my personal favorites, where everything (to me) just clicks on the album.

Sgt. Pepper’s - Beatles
White Album - Beatles
Appetite for destruction - GN’R
The Joshua Tree - U2
Purple Rain - Prince
Ten - Pearl Jam
Vs - Pearl Jam
Blind Melon - Blind Melon
Dirt - Alice in Chains
Worst Case Scenario - dEUS
BadMotorFinger - Soundgarden

Thanks. My list wasn’t in order, but if it had been, The Monitor would been #1 and In the Aeroplane Over the Sea would have been #2. Some of the others on the list took time for me to appreciate them in full, but those two hooked me from the very first listen.

Another I should’ve mentioned: Misplaced Childhood by Marillion.

I would like to pat you on the back for mentioning that.

that is a good work to be listened to as an album.

back then many of the better musicians/composers made an LP to be listened whole. it showed their quality.

Alice Cooper Billion Dollar Babies. A band in their prime that hit perfectly on all notes, and also avoids sounding dated.

Black Sabbath Paranoid. 'nuff said.

Heart Dreamboat Annie. This is one of the most unbelievably polished and technically excellent debut albums ever, like Van Halen 1, or Boston 1.

One other that’s come to mind, that is flawless from start to finish - Floodland by The Sisters Of Mercy.
