Every song on the album is great?

How many albums are there where every single song is good? My favorites (and the only ones I can think of) are Appetite for Destruction from Guns ‘n’ Roses, followed by Thriller from Michael Jackson. I would say Madonna, but every other album from her is a compilation, and those don’t count. It has to be an original album.

What else?

If you have seen my other posts, you will see that I absolutely love Placebo. All of their CDs are my faves. AND they are original.

I believe it is Revolver by The Beatles that was recently voted best album of the 20th century by various people asked by VH1 to vote for their favorites. At least two artists on that special said it was one of those albums where every song was a hit.

Pretty Hate Machine
The Queen Is Dead
Van Halen I
Led Zeppelin I

Revolver?? No shit! I am a BIG Beatles fan but I wouldn’t have voted for Revolver (which is fine, but…Best album of the 20th century?). I’d frankly prefer the White Album, Abbey Road and Pepper.

My two favourites for the time being are Moby’s Play and U2’s All That You Can’t Leave Behind.

My personal all time favorite album is Ten by Pearl Jam. PJ is my favorite band ever, and I think every last song on Ten kicks serious booty.

How 'bout Strange Days by the doors (of course),
or OK Computer by Radiohead?

I could listen to those two all day.

There are others, but that’s all that came immediately to mind.

“One Particular Harbor” by Jimmy Buffett.

All That You Can’t Leave Behind definitely! I have to get my fix of it everyday or I feel all yucky. (Maybe you people who drink coffee and tea can relate.) Not a bad song on the CD.

Another one that I love beginning to end is The Colour and the Shape by *the Foo Fighters. Also Brand New Day by Sting.

Close to the Edge by Yes.

Three songs:
“Close to the Edge”
“And You and I”
“Siberian Khatru”

Every one a winner. Quite possibly the most perfect album ever recorded.

Pretty much any album by Garth Brooks, especially Ropin’ the Wind.

Vertical Horizon’s Everything You Want

The Warren Brother’s Beautiful Day In The Cold, Cruel World

Gary Allan’s Smoke Rings In The Dark

If I Should Fall From Grace With God - The Pogues
Passion- Peter Gabriel
Deja vu- CSNY

I’m sure I’ll think of more, but I’m pretty picky.

The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars

Lola vs. the Powerman on the Money Go Round

Blood Sugar Sex Magic

Flood

In the days of my youth, long, long, long ago, I’ve listened to that album on my turn-table so many times that, in the end, you could hear tunes from the ‘B’ side while playing the ‘A’ side:D.

Aja

“New York” by Lou Reed

Welcome to the Neighborhood and Bat Out of Hell by Meatloaf.

Forgive the inconsistant coding above. I’m on drugs.

Flood – They Might Be Giants
Box of Hair – Cub
No Borders Here – Jane Siberry

notha vote for OK Computer. Nary a waasted moment. Also, Gentleman, by the Afghan Whigs, is damn close. Cocteau Twins -Heaven or Las Vegas
Joy Division- Closer
Miles Davis- Kinda Blue
Fugees- The Score
