It’s not surprising in a very old case against a person once beloved by many. I’d hate to be on that jury.
Has anyone seen any breakdown on how the jurors were voting? I don’t have the time to comb through every article to see if it’s there.
IMO, not unless you also believe she consented to drugged sex. Married people can even be raped. You can rape even if he/she said yes up until a point and then said no, and you didn’t stop.
Whether they were in a relationship would have no bearing on whether I thought he was guilty. Not for a situation like this.

I don’t know exactly what evidence was presented at this trial but it seems to have mainly a ‘He said - she said’ type of thing with just one witness testifying to the same kind of behavior in another incident. Given the amount of time that’s passed I can see how this would be difficult enough for the jury, then on top of that it’s a well known, well loved celebrity, in his home town. Informally, I’m pretty sure he did it but that doesn’t mean the state presented a case beyond reasonable doubt.
I hope he gets off regardless of what he did decades ago…
It’s so sad. Growing up in the early noughties, I saw my dad watch his shows. He seemed like a cool guy as a role model for black people. Now he has been swarmed with these sexual assault allegations that have ruined his image. An old guy like him doesn’t need that.
The victims should have received a settlement and then everyone would have hopefully forgotten about it instead of going to trial…

The problem with his situation is that a criminal guilty verdict requires guilt beyond a reasonable doubt and legally there is a ton of reasonable doubt.

Conviction in a court of law or lack thereof is not reasonable basis to determine whether or not a person did or did not do a particular action.
Also, do you think that Cosby was brought to trial because he is black? Do you think that it was a mistrial because he is black? Do you think people are disappointed by the results of the trial because he is black? Do you think people only think he’s guilty because he is black? On what do you base those opinions?
Well I’m glad you have been given divine inspiration so that you can know for certain that he is guilty, however I don’t know how anyone could be expected to come to that conclusion based on the trial he just underwent. No forensics, no toxicology, and no physical evidence. However I’m glad you know with 100% accuracy what happened more than a decade ago. We should probably just put you in charge of the justice system from now on.
