- F, over the Atlantic Ocean (after useful organs and tissues have been removed).

- Probably; Mrs. Homie isn’t 100% on board, but I think she’ll respect my wishes.
I would like my body to be donated to science. Harvard has a brain bank, I have already pre-registered. So then my relatives can say I went to Harvard.
Do whatever with good stuff that is left, I would like all usable stuff to be donated and used.
After cremation I want to be scattered on Independence Pass.
My family knows my wishes and hopefully it will all be done.
I want to be blown up. That way I can visit all the places I’ve never been. [/George Carlin]
Organ donation, then cremation for me. Not as imaginative, but then again, I don’t like loud noise.
Cremation, ashes scattered. Second choice would be cremation and urn, but that’s weird. Not sure if my wishes are known, but if I talked more about it I think my wishes would be respected. If not I really don’t care, I’m dead anyway. If I’m a ghost I’m gonna haunt the fuck out of some people.
I prefer cremation because I really don’t need my box of dust and bones taking up a 4x10 plot forever.

What do you want done with your body after you die?
g. Something I didn’t think of (please elaborate).
If they’ll return your body when it’s done its duty, I’d like to give my body to some organization (be it the military or private sector like this but not to cure diseases) that uses corpses to create better safety equipment for the military or safer vehicles etc. I don’t mind being blown up, smashed into a wall or shot at, 'cause I won’t be alive to feel it. I don’t want to be part of one of those creepy body museums, though. -
What’s your second choice?
f. Cremation with your ashes scattered in an appropriate place. -
If you died today, would your wishes be respected? Why or why not?
The answer to #1, definitely not. My brother might be cool with it, but my parents would be horrified. My second choice would be easily honored, though. -
If your answer to (3) was no, how much does that bother you?
Not too much. I hope very much to outlive my folks, and I think I’d carefully discuss this with any hypothetical husband or children I have before death, and go with their wishes too. I’d like to be useful, but not if it means scarring loved ones, you know?
I veer towards leaving my body to medical science but my ex went crazy when I mentioned this to her.
Cremation for me. I just do not want to be put on display at a funeral home looking all waxy for people to walk up and comment about how “lifelike” I am. No thanks. I make a point of telling my wife & kids that after every trip to a funeral home we unfortunately have to make. I expect that I will be taken seriously. They all watch Ghost Whisperer and understand that I will definitely come back to cause them grief if they do not.
Cremated, Ashes scattered. Don’t even bother getting a fancy urn. Just take the cardboard box, turn it upside down and dump my ashes in the river.
I don’t want any form of religious service. Absolutely NO Bible quotations! After the Eulogy, my friends and family should throw a potluck in celebration of my life.
If I get a tombstone, I want it to express the Epicurean view of death. When we exist, death is not, and when death exists we are not. Just as we don’t regret the period of non-existence prior to our life, neither should we regret the non-existence after our death.
-
Well i always had this half crazy idea of being cremated then put into fireworks and getting my friends and family set them off over the beach.
-
Don’t really mind.
-
Probably.

Not at all, once I’m dead they can do whatever they wish with my remains.
My funeral plan is already on file at the church I attend. I wanted it done ahead of time, as I’m the only member of my family that is of my denomination(Episcopal)
I have instructions that when I’m buried the casket is to be the cheapest possible, as it seems a sinful waste to me to spend a lot of money on something that’s going to be buried. The headstone will be modest. The only thing that may distinguish it from others is that I’ve left instructions that instead of having the words “Born” and “Died” with the appropriate dates, it will be “Born” and “Reborn” I got the idea after seeing it on one person’s quilt panel when part of the AIDS memorial quilt was displayed locally.
I have no reason to believe my instructions will not be followed. If I change my mind and am cremated instead of being buried, the ashes will still be interred in the same country cemetery I’m currently planning on being located to. It’s not private, but there are four generations of family on my mother’s side already there.
Once I’m dead, the corpse is just a shell. I honestly wouldn’t care if I was just dumped in the street.
…of course, the family might not like that. So if they want to bury me or cremate me, go nuts :D.
…or perhaps load me in a wooden boat. With treasures. Push the boat into a lake, set it alight with flaming arrows. That would just be bad-ass. I hope if that happens I can witness it from heaven.
-
F - Cremations and my ashes scattered.
-
E - Ashes in an urn.
-
Definitely. I’ve left rather detailed instructions about everything in case of death (being a cop, I have to think about that a lot), and I know my wife would do as I’ve asked.
-
No, it wouldn’t bother me much. The bodies just the wrapping, you know?
-
What do you want done with your body after you die?
g. I want to be cremated, and I want all my friends to smoke my ashes either plain or with marijuana mixed in.
-
What’s your second choice?
Cremated and my ashes scattered into the ocean.
- If you died today, would your wishes be respected? Why or why not?
No, I haven’t left instructions with anyone.
- If your answer to (3) was no, how much does that bother you?
Doesn’t matter so much to me.
