What does a Belbin test assess?

I had a phone interview with a company that went well and the next step is to have a face-to-face interview.

Prior to that, I’ve been given a link to take a Belbin test online. It looks like it is a workplace behavioral assessment test that evaluates your aptitude for various team roles.

Has anyone taken one of these? What are they testing?

Their website is crammed full of what they’re all about including sample “Inventories.” Looks like it’s all based on Dr. Belbin’s “Team Role Theory.”

Seems pretty easy to see where they’re coming from and to respond accordingly.
