Eminem seems to have taken anger management classes lately so his angry young white man shtick is mellowing but he really did dislike Moby there for a while-- remember Em flying Moby the bird during the MTV awards a year or so ago?
Em usually had some sort of rationale for the venom but I never understood his dislike for Moby. Did Moby steal his beats? Kiss his wife? What?
Most of his action against Mody is manufactured, but it is because Moby accused Eminem of being a closet homosexual.

What do you mean Em’s actioned were manufactured? Do you mean staged? Are you trying to tell me MTV actually staged that fight? I’m shocked. Shocked!
no, I mean probably most of it was just hyped, to boost Eminems status as a ‘taking no guff from no-one’ kinda guy…you know what rappers are like all bravado and stuff.
Yea, we were watching AlTV (note: Weird Al hosts, you can imagine how accurate it is) and I’m not entirely sure, but I think Weird Al outed Eminem…

And of course, there was John Stewart, “I just ran into Eminem backstage. Man, is he ever GAY! He’s just so gay-I mean, he’s so completely gay!”
Or something to that effect.
Oh, Al was doing one of his AlTv interviews and Em said something about liking men. Then Al invited him out after the show and Em said, “Yea, we can pick some nice looking guys”, etc.
I think Eminem had a normal interview first and Weird Al cut it up and made it funny.
“Rapper” vs. “Techno nerd who steals all his material from dead black people” fights are kinda dull.

I got the impression that the interviews on ALTV aren’t interviews at all. I think he took another interview from eariler, cut it up, and edited it together. I don’t make a habit of watching Eminem interviews, but I know I’ve seen the at least parts of the un"ALed" interview before.
The real reason is that Eminem is in denial about being attracted to Moby.

Fred, I love Moby’s Play because of the roots, gospel and jazz influences. But Rappers should be the very last group of musicians to be upset about “stealing” from dead black people.
