What does "necessarily" mean to you?

I’ve never heard of neccessarily to mean definitely. I couldn’t answer your poll. I think it’s the question that’s flawed.

Meh… they’re not synonymous, and I never said they were. But they’re definitely in the same conceptual ballpark. What is necessarily true is definitely true. What must necessarily be done must definitely be done. Etc…

For me, “necessarily” induces universal quantification over possible worlds. YMMV.
