What does the Arabic/Hebrew script on this hat say? Link to pic

Hat in question

What does the text say?

Sorry, can’t help. It is Arabic, not Hebrew.

Yes it’s Arabic, but the script style isn’t easy for me to read and I think it might be colloquial Arabic.

I’m pretty sure that the letters are, reading from right to left:

fa’
ya’
shin (final form)

ba’ (with damma vowel)
nun (final form)

That would transliterate to something that in roman script would look more or less like feesh [or faysh] bun, and I haven’t a clue what it’s supposed to mean.

Yup. Says “fish bun”.

The manufacturer’s brand name of the hat ion the inside tag is “Fishbone” but I thought that was just the hat manufacturer and the lettering was someone’s logo. I suppose it’s possible it says “fishbone”

Or, according to Google Translate, “Ben Fish”

(فيـش بُن)

 Well, I’ll be a son of a Patagonian postal worker. I never even thought of the possibility that the “Arabic” might just be transliterated English.
