when you open the case (on the uncencored version) on the left hand side in the upper left hand corner there is a string of letters and numbers. C D P 7 2 4 3 8 2 9 8 4 2 2 1 and agian on the cd itself. what is the signifigance of this? and the other crap on the cd.
Look at the barcode on the back of the CD. The numbers underneath it are 7 2438-29842-2, which is the same as what you’re talking about. It’s some kind of Capitol Records inventory code. You’ll find that on a lot of CD’s, no matter what label put them out.
The stuff on the CD itself is just a bunch of Gibby’s acid-casualty doodlings, which he’s been putting on records and tapes and CD’s since at least 1984, when “Cottage Cheese From The Lips Of Death” came out.
To clarify: If you look at some other CD’s you’ll see that the numbers on the bar code (which are different for different CD’s) are printed elsewhere on the cover and sometimes on the CD itself.
