nah, just when I’ve overloaded it. :smack:
I think it is supposed to be a redneck type feature. You can use the remote to control the sound at a party by using the remote to control the sound coming out of the truck with the best stereo without having to leave the bonfire. No, I am not kidding. That is the only thing I have ever seen them used for.
The Sabbath feature on my stove. I understand what it is for, I just will never use it.
Not knowing the year and model of your motor, could be a few things: higher rpm at a lighter load generates less heat, spins the water pump faster, which moves more water through the radiator per unit Time, could also spin the fan faster if it’s not an electric fan.
I have never heard of this mode. Weird.
I have the same four colored buttons, but at least on my blu-player they have somewhat of a use. One launches Netflix, one launches YouTube, one launches Pandora and the last launches Blockbuster.
Guess which one I never, ever use?
Yes
Mine doesn’t. What’s with that? I tried it out for the first time this morning, and both sides of each slot heated up and toasted.
Do I just have a shitty toaster? Which side is supposed to be the cut side?
I feel compelled to point out that besides safety, another reason for lower gears on auto cars is performance. By staying in a low gear longer when accelerating, you can speed up faster. It uses more fuel though. I also believe switching to low gear will help if your car starts accelerating on its own, like Toyota had a problem with. Because of these, I believe low gear selection will always be available on cars.
Scroll Lock (tapped twice) is used by my KVM. Pause and Break are useful in text modes. SysRq was also a toggle for a previous KVM.
Is it for cooking bats?
I use pause/break occasionally - Some computers have a boot screen that tells you what to press to get into the CMOS settings, but displays it too briefly to read, or some other part of the startup process (such as the memory check, etc) might need scrutiny for longer than it normally appears on screen.
Nah, it’s for observant Jews who are nonetheless trying to pull one over on God.
Usually there’ll be a little pictogram of a bagel beside the slot; you put the bagel in with the cut side facing as shown. Sorry your toaster isn’t working properly; that blows.
My old Jetta used to do this all the time. It could not be shut off without putting the key in the door, and sometimes not even then. Great fun, that. I just opened the key fob and removed the presser thingie below the panic button. You should do that.
Has anyone ever had a reason to turn OFF Num Lock?
Digital zoom in any digital camera. Turn it off when you first power up the camera and never look back. It’s much better to do cropping in the computer and most cameras do a lousy job anyway.
I have known several rather large individuals who just kept it in their hands while driving, as they fiddled so much with the controls that they would die if they took the time to look AT the stereo… I never used mine.

Has anyone ever had a reason to turn OFF Num Lock?
I never turn it ON. I do not have the training in typing on a caculator keypad, see, I don’t even know the proper term.
I also have never used the CAPS LOCK key.
I’ve been using the CAPS LOCK key more and more, but not to save time or energy. I use it to avoid activating Smart Keys by holding the Shift key for more than a few seconds.
