Your pronounce reference is unclear; what is pointed out to Cox? That’s he’s antisocial, arrogant, & intimidating, or that he’s House’s less-evil twin?
They’re Taking the Hobbits to Isingard! To Isingard? To Isingard!
How about these:
House and Grissom
Louis de Pointe duLac and Buffy
Buffy and LaCroix
Archie Bunker and Storm
How about Aubrey and Horatio Hornblower?
I suspect Aubrey would find Hornblower formal and dull, but Hornblower would tactically run rings around Aubrey.
As I suggested in a sig line, Mr. Onceler and Treebeard.
“Hrum Hoom! Well, Mr. Onceler, I speak for the trees, too!”
The quote was something like “Yes, we get it, you’re a cranky maverick doctor who plays by his own rules, you’re like House without the limp.”
< shamelessly stolen from another website ! >
The Terminator meets the Witch King !
Witch King : “No man may hinder me !”
Terminator : “I am not a man. I am a Cyberdyne Systems Model T-850, vat grown tissue over an armored endoskeleton.”
Witch King : :dubious:
Gondorian Soldier : “Look ! That guy just ripped out the Witch King’s heart ! Now he’s tearing the body apart ! Uh. . . he is on our side, right ?”
Done, in a Marvel/DC crossover.
Miles Vorkosigan and Honor Harrington; pre marriage for both. Given Mile’s hankering for tall strong women . . .
Doc Savage, Man of Bronze, and Kim Possible. Can you say “apprenticeship”?
The GI Joe Special Forces Team & Captain America.
Ingold Inglorian and Belgarath. They’d both get drunk and tell lies, then go raid Hogwarts.
Vlad Taltos and … that one guy that I can’t remember.
Simon Ysidro and Buffy.
Buffy and River
Sauron and Emperor Palpatine
Han Solo and Captain Kirk
Luke Skywalker and Captain Picard
Travis McGee and Spenser.
I can’t – the two would easily hole up in a pub somewhere, with something sturdy over their heads while excitement happened outside.
Now, Rincewind and Zaphod Beeblebrox, that’d be interesting… “Okay, magic man, get us out of this mess I got us into!”
Doctor Who and Fox Mulder
Maybe, but both tend to have unusual circumstances sort of pop up around them, no matter where they are.
In other words they both have abnormal probability curves…much like Jenn from the soon-to-be-no-more Casey & Andy. I’d like to see Jenn meet Arthur, though I doubt she’d think much of him.
Whenever I watch Bones I always comment that Bones should run into House somewhere.
Also, stemming exclusively from the DVDs I’ve been watching lately:
I’d like to see Adam Pierson meet Gregory House.
I’d also like to see a meeting between Duncan MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod and Val Con yos’Phelium, Clan Korval (okay, that one’s also partially from the books I’ve been reading; they haven’t turned that into a TV show or movie yet sigh).
And I’d like to watch from afar when Martin Riggs meets John McClane. That’ll bring about some nice explodey-ness.
I can’t help but think that each would recognize the professionalism and humane instincts of the other. Probably not the beginnings of a friendship but certainly some level of professional respect and appreciation of the others talents and experience. The contrast between Jack’s hail-fellow-well-met personality and Hornblower’s guardedness could cause some awkward moments. I doubt that the authors would like each other at all.
James Bond, Napoleon Solo, and Dirk Pitt
How much can you talk between broadsides?
Tris
Mad Max & Wolverine (Think of the death toll!)
Lara Croft & Indiana Jones
James Bond ( connery version) & Mrs. Smith ( angelina jolie)
Sheriff of Nottingham ( Rickman version) and The Bad Guy from Die Hard (Rickman again.) ooooooooooh. What fun!
Jesus Christ & Sherlock Holmes.
" Why Father have you forsaken me?"
“Elementary, my dear, Jesus. You never wrote. You never called.”
Zeus and Jehovah : When egos collide !
Dr. Gregory House and Dr. Herbert West.
Now, would that be “lawful evil” or “true neutral”?
After that…I dunno, Gendo from “Evangelion” meets Destro or Cobra Commander, maybe? (Now there’s some twisted, Wagnerian, scheming evil for ya. All we need is Alex Krycek and Wilhelm Strasse and the party can REALLY begin! )
