What fictional characters would you like to introduce to one another?

I swear I’m not avoiding work on the book! Really! I am completely not goofing off!

Watching House last night, it occurred to me that an encounter between Greg House and Geoffrey Geiger (of Chicago Hope) might be interesting. Both are arrogant doctors with a gift for solving puzzles their coworkers are utterly stymied by; but while Greg is merely antisocial and self-destructive, Geoffrey (at least in the first season) was actually nuts. (I loved watching his train set grow to take over his office.)

That thought, in turn, made me wonder what other characters from different fictional universes would be interesting to watch interact. (And remember that I said different universes; Xander from Buffy and Gunn from Angel don’t count, for instance, as it could have easily happened.) Superman and Captain Kirk would probably get along pretty well, for instance, whereas Dr. McCoy would never be able to stand Batman. But either meeting would be cool.

Al Swearingen and Stringer Bell (Deadwood meets The Wire.) They’d probably have a lot to talk about.

Capt. Jack Aubrey and Capt. Jack Sparrow. Let’s talk a little naval theory, shall we?

Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid and Dora the Explorer.

Since they both repeat everything they hear at least six times, if you put them in a room together they’d start creating some sort of feedback loop that would quickly reduce nearby buildings to rubble.

Y’know, the small MGS-fanboy part of me wants to hate you for that but not only is it true, it’s funny as well. Now I’m all conflicted. :-/

Anyway, in regards to the OP,

Chloe Sullivan and Veronica Mars, because I think they’d absolutely hate one another and it’d be funny. I also wonder if Veronica would end up murdering Chloe.

Cindy “Mac” Mackenzie and Willow Rosenberg would make very good friends, IMO.

And finally, 'cause I’m stupid like this, Faith and Tru from BtVS and Tru Calling respectively.

Professor Moriarty and Lex Luthor

Hermione Granger and Willow Rosenberg

Willow Rosenberg and Granny Weatherwax!

Harry Potter and Tim Hunter.

Waldo and the Invisible man.

Lord Peter Wimsey and Sherlock Holmes would make an interesting team. If they were to meet, I suspect that they’d either hate each other or become a gay couple.

Rincewind and Arthur Dent. Just imagine the unwelcome adventures.

All you’d have to do to set up the destructive feedback loop is shut Snake and Dora into a room together and whisper a word or phrase, a seed if you will, into the room.

I recommend “The DARPA Chief.”

Solid Snake (low, incredulous): The DARPA chief?
Dora (elated): The DARPA chief! The DARPA chief! The DARPA chief!
**Solid Snake (lower, incredulous): ** The DARPA chief?!?
**Dora (skipping and singing): ** The DARPA chief, the DARPA chief, the DARPA chief!!!

(repeat until concrete begins to crack) :D:D:D

Hello Kitty meet Cthulhu

Bug Bunny vs’ The Terminator would be an interesting match, though the Terminator wouldn’t stand much of a chance.

Perhaps Bugs Bunny and Roger Rabbit?

Popeye and the Incredible Hulk.

Sherlock Holmes and Gil Grissom.

Zaphod Beeblebrox and whoever Carly Simon wrote ‘You’re so vain’ about.

Hal and Terminator.

I think Bugs vs. Deathstroke would be entertaining. Hell, imagine Bugs vs. Darkseid.

Philip Fletcher and Charles Paris.

Daria Morgendorffer and Nenene Sumiregawa.

You know that old comic routine where the two guys are sneaking down parallel hallways, pass a doorway at the same time, then stop to puzzle over the “mirror,” and try to pantomime with their odd “reflection”?

Yeah. That’s pretty much all I’d expect, or hope for, to happen.

Darkseid and Thanos
Starbuck and Aeryn Sun
Molly Minchon and Xena, Warrior Princess

You know, I often think this about Dr. House and Dr. Cox from Scrubs. They’re both antisocial, arrogant, and intimidating to co-workers. There’s even an episode of Scrubs where someone points this out to Dr. Cox.
