What fluid mechanics modeling software could model a flapping flag?

What kind of fluid mechanical modeling software would be able to model the flapping of a flag in the breeze, where the wind flexes the fabric and the fabric shape dictates how the wind interacts with it to create forces on it? Or the production of sound in a saxaphone, where the reed’s flexing and the pressure wave traveling along the length of the horn were integral parts of the problem?

These are coupled problems in the time domain, involving both fluid mechanics and stress/strain. Worse, they probably involve turbulent flow.

Can SolidWorks/FlowWorks do this? Can Fluent? Can anything else?

It’s not obvious to me from their web sites.

I know nothing about fluid dynamics modeling, but your post reminded me of this Straight Dope column about the movement of shower curtains which mentions Fluent.

I’m not sure if this will even slightly help you, but at the very least will keep your post on the front page for a little longer.
