What forms of entertainment do you treat like radio shows? What if it doesn't work?

Hey, there a new Strong Bad Email. But wait, I really want to see if anyone has responded to my pitting. Oh vale of tears. I will simply have it play in the background, while I check out SDMB. Later, I can watch it for real.

Anyone else do this listening, but not watching shows and movies? If so, why? Also, ever curse yourself for having done so, since you missed out on a great scene? Also, what thread discussing this topic did I overlook before starting this one? Also, how many more questions can one man (such as myself) fit in a paragraph? Thanks for the answer, Watered Down.

I put it on in the background and wash dishes or something. Once you learn the actors voices, most episodes work just as well as a radio show.

Sometimes I have CNN playing in the background. It’s a mixture of entertainment/white noise for me when stuff begins to seem too quiet.
