I use soap, toothpaste, and deodarant every day. I wash my hair about every other day. Namely because I want to give my body’s natural hair condioners a chance to be brushed over my hair using a boar’s hair brush. (Yes, I clean the brush often too.) I find I don’t get split ends as quickly if I do. If I get my hair wet, I have to condition it in the shower. If I"m “super conditioning” my hair, I use 2 kinds of conditioner, one is Herbal Essence with Jasmine and Sage, the other is Aussie Slip. (Very good de-tangler.) Normally I just use the Slip. I use Aussie Mega Shampoo, and alternate every once in a while with Suave’s Clarifying shampoo to get rid of build up.
In the winter, I use St. Ives nourishing vitamin A & E lotion on my hands, and elbows etc. I use a ladies gel shaving cream when I shave my legs, and lotion about an hour later. I don’t shave much in the winter, because my skin gets painfully dry, “Winter skin”.
I try to go light on the scented products I use, the conditioners are a concession to this rule, I usually just smell of my shampoo/conditioner mix. Sometimes I have to apply Aussie Hair Insurance to my hair, if it’s being especially tangly and staticy while I brush it. Sometimes I use a light peach scented oil cologne, or a lavender colonge. (Both non-aerosol)
On a whim, or for a dressy occaision (like an official “date” with Mr. Clawbane, we can’t afford to go out much, so when we do, it’s a big deal) I wear make up. If I do wear make up, I use cover stick, base, face powder, mascara, lip liner, lip stick, face powder (I powder my lips to “set” my lipstick so it won’t smudge and doesn’t have to be refreshed as much) eye liner, eye shadow, and sometimes blush. I don’t have enough money to fund regular use of make up, so it’s something I do if I feel dressy, or am attending a formal occaision.
