What Happened at EDstock?

I’m reading this book entitled: Cult TV: Your Guide to the Shows America Can’t Live Without, by John Javna.

One page has a picture of a flier for “Edstock,” a concert/Mr. Ed convention that took place in Texas in the mid 80’s. Mr. Javna says nothing about what happened at the event, but the caption says “Flier for the ill-fated Edstock.”

Ill-fated? What happened?

ill-fated probably means it didn’t happen. they planned it, it just didn’t take off. (for obvious reasons)
