I own five hats and alternate wearing them whenever I go outdoors. Of course, I have virulent skin cancer and am trying to cut the odds a little.
As noted, cowboys still wear hats, as do country western musicians who are attempting to pass as cowboys.
Have you seen any pictures of Richard Petty without a hat? And such a hideous hat at that.
