I have the same cell phone plan I’ve had since 2001, for $29.99 a month. For the past year or so I’ve had a Treo, which has a Palm PDA, which I only use for the calendar, memo, etc. features. In other words, you don’t have to pay for data if you’re not going to use it.
PDA’s and cell phones are actually a very good synergy. Having a unified contact list is much better than having one in each.
