What happens after the movie ends?

That was a deleted scene? In the version I saw, that was a running joke! It happened at least three times in the film with different henchmen and slightly different situations. Talk about an alternate version!

The more you’ve read and watched around BWP, the better it is. To properly understand what happened at the end, you need to have seen the documentary (Curse of the Blair Witch) that preceded the movie. If you do, you learn that…

[spoiler] … the house with the handprints on the walls is the house of Rustin Parr, which was burned to the ground 50 years before. You also learn that Rustin Parr took children by pairs, and made one of them stand in the corner facing the wall while he killed the other - the last thing Heather films before she drops the camera is Mike standing in the corner in this fashion. Lastly, you find that the bag containing the BWP footage was found buried in such a way that it couldn’t have been disturbed for many years.

In other words, the reason why they weren’t found in a fairly small area by an extensive nine-day search that in fact began several days before they died is that they weren’t there to find… [/spoiler]

(Yes, I know it’s fake. But so is Darth Maul’s lightsabre, and I never heard anyone talking about how Ray Park had a really cool stick that everyone pretended was a double-ended lightsabre.)

I wondered about the fate of the Ark of the Covenant. I imagined that it was given by the US government to the new State of Israel, either immediately after the nation was founded, or just prior to the 1967 war, thus ensuring victory against the Arabs, and explaining the US defeat in Vietnam.

If you flip through some of the “articles” in the special features (or also featured on the official webpage), it gives you a spotty history of what Leonard did before the movie began. A lot about his time in a mental hospital and whatnot - pretty interesting stuff if you really liked the movie.

Well, considering it’s supposed to be filmed like a documentary, what do you think the Camera Falling implies? Also, remember what you saw before the Camera falls? Remember people talking about how Rustin Parr killed all the little kids?

That and the fact these three kids were “never seen” again.
