Do they get visual hallucinations? Or are their thoughts just scrambled? Can it “cure” blindness, at least to the point of causing hallucinations?
IANAD, but someone who has been blind from birth can’t have visual hallucinations, because their visual cortex has long since been rewired to perform different functions. Basically, their brain no longer has the capacity for vision.
For someone who became blind later in life, I can’t see why they wouldn’t be capable of visual hallucinations.
you know hallucinogens do not just scramble your visual stimuli. if you listen to music it sounds very different too.
so a blind person could still have some fun with LSD.
