I think it was because Coffee County was the only one with an election official stupid enough to invite them in.
Maybe that was where they could find true believers who’d help them muck about with the voting machines.
Also, what the above post said.
Nice. What song is that?
That, and according to the link Northern Piper posted, the election official there claimed she had discovered a way to flip votes using an auditing process called adjudication when a ballot was ambiguous about which candidate was selected.
I’m going to keep cross-posting this till I get it right (where I wanted it to go in the first place):
Memories Of East Texas by Michelle Shocked, off of the ‘Short Sharp Shocked’ album (1988). I couldn’t find a YouTube of her singing it.
There’s a big difference between vague mutterings in defense of Trump and this kind of blatant interference with the judicial branch. Normally I’d say there’s no way this will happen, but then again, this is Georgia (state motto should be “not as bad as Mississippi”).
My guess is that most of the Georgia officials will loudly proclaim that they did everything they could to protect Trump, while actually doing nothing at all. That way, they get to please their base (who don’t know anything about actual factual reality), they get rid of the biggest threat to them personally, and they don’t risk any jail time or other legal consequences.
Apparently one of the unindicted co-conspirators was Georgia Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones, who was instrumental in the fake electors plot.
He was unindicted not because he didn’t deserve it, but because the judge ruled that Willis had a conflict of interest because she had hosted a fundraiser for his opponent.
Instead, he’s going to get his own special prosecutor and his own investigation.
One of my favorite songs.
By Jove, I think you’ve got it!
I’m cautiously optimistic about the judge for this trial. Here’s an article about his background. He has a degree in music! That doesn’t matter, I just think it’s neat.
The purported names and addresses of members of the Georgia grand jury that indicted Donald Trump have been posted online, along with other threats.
I guess it was only a matter of time. I cannot for the life of me understand why the jurors’ names were listed on the indictment. Made it way too easy for them to be doxxed. Was that the case in the federal indictments or in the NY case?
I can’t even imagine what they’ll probably be going through simply for showing up to jury duty as required by law and doing their civic duty. I really hope no wannabe fame seeker decides to show out.
One article I read indicated that it’s required by law in Georgia
Hillary hurt MAGA fee-fees when she laughed at trump’s indictment. Is there a compilation vid of their umbrage, 'cause it’s just so delicious? One guy questioned whether there was any legal recourse they could take
It only takes a simple majority (at least 12 of 23 jurors) to indict, so roughly half of those named may be have voted the way Trump wanted. No one, who wasn’t there, knows how the vote went, except for those who jump to conclusions.
I have this mental image of Loser Donald leading dozens of Marshals on a low-speed chase OJ-style as he drives his golf cart down the freeway towards the border.
The idea that jurors of any sort would be publicly named is nothing short of fucking stupid.
Any juror can certainly come out on their own, but for the state to name them, that’s simply fucking stupid.
Georgia transparency law is my understanding. Possibly came from the same reasons as the governor’s lack of pardon power (hint: it has to do with certain government abuses, especially after 1865).
