Christians did not cause a 15-year war in the Middle East. Christians did not cost billions of dollars to the Northeast economy. Christians did not cause billions of repairs to Lower Manhattan’s subway and bus stops. Christians did not cause the creation of the Patriot Act, the D.H.S., and did nor cause sadness every September.
George Bush is Christian, and he started a war in Iraq, which had nothing to do with 9/11. He also created the Patriot Act. And you seem to have ignored that twice as many Americans have been killed by Christian terrorists since 9/11 that have been killed by Muslim terrorists.
Also: You have not provided any proof that progressives think 9/11 was justified.

I have Muslim friends because they are decent people who I enjoy spending time with. They (my friends) caused no damage, and those Muslims I knew in the Navy were patriotic Americans who saved lives and helped protect you.

Well, I’m kind of a progressive, I guess… I won’t really know for certain until the term is defined. While I certainly wasn’t happy about the Sept. 11 attacks (I was actually kind of eager for a new Operation Overlord where American, Canadian and British troops smash their way into Afghanistan and get some massive payback), I can recall making a not-well-received comment a few years later along the lines of even if we could knew for certain the attacks would result, it was still worthwhile to arm the mujhadeen in the 1980s as it hastened the fall of the Soviet Union, i.e. trading an intense but limited amount of damage in exchange for greatly reducing the risk of the massive global damage that would result from World War III.
It was a casual cost-benefit analysis.
I suspect a more likely alternate explanation is that Glory Days is just making stuff up.
