What have you read that made you physically ill?

I’ll second Del’s execution in the Green Mile, the foot-chopping scene in Misery (ties into my phobia of cutting implements) and Survivor Type.

Also, I read a short story set some time in the near future (online, I think, don’t remember well.) Couple of college age kids live in a residential complex, small house. Murderer breaks in. One of the guys is in the room with the surveillance equipment, sees the murderer kill the other guy, decapitate him, and use the detached head as a sexual object, all via surveillance cam. Describes murderer’s member protruding from dead head’s mouth with each stroke, blood, teeth being detached. I’m summarizing.

TO conclude the police start gassing the house because they know the killer is in there but don’t know the resident is still alive. Killer gets away regardless.

I’m going to go to the bathroom now thank you very much.

American Psycho is the only book in my life I couldn’t finish. Truly vile stuff.

Another vote for American Psycho. Felt like a psycho just reading it. Did anyone see the movie?
Also,
Sophie-that was a fascinating post. Was this a published book?
and
Survey-I dont understand what you’re talking about. Do I want to?

I’ve never gotten physically ill from anything I read - not even queasy. About the only thing that makes me physically ill (aside from actual illness) is strong odors. Don’t ask about the dead mouse at work last summer. :::shudders:::

That would be Yukio Mishima.

I read a description of what happens as a person dies from ebola. That made me seriously ill.
