What Hitchcock movies should I watch?

My favorites, in order:

Dial ‘M’ for Murder
Psycho
Rear Window
Lifeboat (I’m personally stunned that I’m only the second person to mention this)
Vertigo

But yeah, the short answer is “all of them”.

Blackmail is next in my Netflix queue! Yay!

I guess that I am an iconoclast. By far my fave is “The trouble with Harry.” It is so unlike his other work. It is a black romantic comedy. And Shirley Maclaine was really cute 50 years ago. Her first movie, IIRC.

That would be Blackmail (1929), generally regarded as the first ‘talkie’ made in Great Britain. In fact, some of it was already in the can as a silent movie and it was reshot with sound. I saw it some years ago and, except for the above-mentioned scene, don’t remember a thing about it.

There would appear to be something amiss with your reading skills. And a word of advice. I got to “nail” Miss Saint because I’m not a crude kind of fellow who would use words like “nail”.

Anyway, I rogered her.

Young and Innocent, and Sabotage.

Some of the earlier ones are good but unfortunately the quality today makes them hard watching. But I agree with a previous poster- watch them all. He was a genius.

Roger that, roger. I woulda tapped it like a keg.

It appears **Lifeboat ** is not available on DVD
