What hurts today?

Getting older is the pits, isn’t it? I subluxed my left shoulder a few months ago and it still hurts, depending on what I’m trying to do. My range of movements with that arm is also a lot less than before, so I often have trouble even doing up my seat belt.

Other ailment today is the arthritis in my right index finger. The pain is bad but the ugly deformity it worse.

I put my back out two weeks ago and am still feeling a few twinges from that. Left-hand finger joints flaring up (good thing I’m right-handed). Right shoulder that was operated on twice last year still acting up a bit.

Dagnabbit.

My right gum over my molars is infalamed from some popcorn - but is better than yesterday

My achilles (left) is stiff, but it usually is

My chest and back hurt - started week two of P90X yesterday and pushed it

My head hurts - weather is changing and I am getting a migraine.

Now I feeli like a HUGE whiner.

It’s all on my right side, today. I’ve got the usual “been hunched over my artwork too long” neck and shoulder pain. Then, I spent the day helping my son get his bedroom shoveled out in preparation for the new school year, which entailed a lot of sitting on the floor cross-legged. My hips just don’t do that anymore. I’ve been having a lot of sciatica-ish pain on the right lately (woke me up a couple of mornings this week), so the floor-sitting didn’t help.

I don’t recall doing it but somehow I hurt my foot. It starts on the top of my right foot, where the second toe joins the foot and somehow extends through the foot and up my lower leg to my knee. It’s been several weeks, it gets better and worse but bothers me most when I’m trying to go to sleep.

Right at this moment:

My neck is kind of sore, the muscle leading down into my right shoulder feels stiff and pulled, and my upper left outer arm is also pulling. It’s probably the angle I’m laying at (on the sofa with my head tilted up on a pillow on the arm rest), but I do get regular neck pain from an old car accident injury.

My lower back/upper ass is similarly TightSore, as it usually is when I am flat on my back on an unsupportive surface. I don’t know of any injuries I’ve had there, but a few massage therapists have told me that they can feel some scar tissue in that spot.

My right knee was fucked up for the second time in a fall in March (all soft tissue damage), and has steadfastly refused to finish healing, despite physical therapy and some shots from the specialist. It’s not actually painful at the moment, but the humidity makes it swell an inch or more, so it’s distantly half numb and half nagging soreness.

My right hand was bitten by a dog on Monday. The puncture wound only hurts if I forget and put pressure on it (holding even a light object or such), but there’s a bruise on the side of my wrist, and it aches following the muscle going down my arm.

I didn’t realize this until I stood up to change the laundry and pee halfway through writing this post, but I have a very sore muscle leading from my groin down into my right upper leg. I have no clue what that’s from or when it started today.

My ankles and lower shins (both sides) are permanently banded by distant soreness, due to decades of constant injuries. (I was a very clumsy child and have pronated ankles). It’s not something that really registers unless I stop to think about it.

I’ve had some depression to deal with since a big argument about the house with my soon to be ex-husband, a few weeks ago. My doctor upped my meds, but it hasn’t fully kicked in yet.

A few fingers on the left hand, probably arthritis.

My left big toe, only if the nail is pressed on. Then there is a sharp pain.

My bunion. Probably because I had to buy a pair of flat sandals to replace the wedge-style ones that broke the other day. Found some wedgies today though. Also, I did a lot of walking today. (In good walking shoes, though.)

I’m sorry so many of you have it so bad right now.

My left arm, same as always. Of course, I had surgery at the end of June and I’m still recovering from it so I suppose it’s understandable.

I had a cold for 3 days last month, and I’m still coughing up phlegm. Typical for me, actually.

My left eye was extremely bloodshot yesterday for no discernable reason, but it seems a bit better today.

I found some special bands for my problems with my Achilles tendons. They seem to help.

It wasn’t the hollow, it was a spot with a lump on the top upper right “corner” of my knee. I think it must have been muscular because I massaged it and the pain finally went away.

It’s aching a little bit today, but not nearly as bad as yesterday! I think it’s partly weather related. Cold and damp – doesn’t really seem to be good for my arthritis.

Sometime early Friday morning, while it was still dark I woke up with one of those god awful screechingly painful muscle cramps in my leg. I woke up screaming, and turned to get out of bed to stand and hop on the thing and stretch it out.

I immediately put my right foot down wrong and heard a loud awful (and yes painful) pop in my right knee. Which made it impossible to continue standing. I sat down on the bed to pull my foot up by the toes with my hand to get the calf straightened out, but even bending my knee was painful.

Finally I laid back on the bed, and with my leg straight, pushed against the wall to get the calf stretched again.

Of course by now, the calf had fired up so badly it felt like a pulled muscle. Within a few minutes my knee was the size of a melon, my calf hurt like hell and I had to go to work.

Today the calf is better and with ice and some NSAID’s the knee is only the size of a softball (12 inch) and the limp is somewhat better.

You need to hydrate better. Muscle cramps are directly related to hydration. Even if you don’t feel thirsty, drink water.

Does it hurt when you go downstairs? It could be your IT band…

Which will go away after rest ( a lot of rest). Icing helps too…

Right now my left foot has been hurting for several days. I think I sprained it about a week ago while at the Nisei Week festival downtown. Plus the ol’ carpal tunnel has been acting up again.

Woke up with gout, but the indomethacin is kicking in.

my heart. :frowning:

And the life stress is leaving me with tense shoulders and a sore back. I do need to get out of this computer chair or my tail bone will be hurting like Kenobi 65’s. I broke mine back in November and I don’t think it will ever be 100% again. Luckily I’m to the point where it only hurts when I sit for too long in the wrong chairs. Unluckily that happens about once a week.

I have a headache that’s partially due to allergies and partly from the retouching done on my latest tattoo. And my plantar faciitis is acting up, even after getting cryo surgery on my foot to help deal with the pain.

Meh.

I don’t think there’s enough bandwidth to express it. My RA and fibromyalgia have been having kittens since I went back to school this past week. We’ve just moved into a new school, so I’ve been hefting boxes, scrubbing floors, moving desks, etc. I broke my right big toe two weeks ago (the day before the family trip to Six Flags), and my teeth are throbbing – prednisone side-effects. Also the lovely near-constant headache, thanks to the prednisone, again.
