I find it difficult to believe that a mod would just snap out of the blue bad enough to result in an immediate banning. Not saying it would never happen, however.

If a normal poster reports a mod, leading to the mod getting banned and thus vanquishing the mod, do all of the mod’s powers transfer over to said normal poster?

No-there is no “Quickening”.
If and when a mod ever does get banned I would hope that anyone browsing the Dope at that time should see lightening all over the screen for a couple of seconds. Imagine the subsequent ATMB activity - it would feel like Christmas.
