What if Anglo-Irish treaty was rejected?

You have no idea about my “views.” I am an American citizen, born in New England (that’s a region) & raised in Texas. I am a Democrat.

Most of my ancestors were Irish, so I’m interested in Irish culture & history. My paternal grandparents were Catholics who emigrated from East Galway, but I had little contact with that side of the family. (My father, a WWII vet, was called up for the Cold War & died in a plane crash.) My mother’s family was also mostly Irish–partly of the hard-headed Presbyterian sort that used to call themselves “Scotch Irish.” (I think Scots Irish is now preferred.)

Generally, I hope that the Irish have peaceful & prosperous lives. It’s hardly up to me to dictate their political arrangements.

It’s very sad that your life has made you so bitter that you can’t discuss history almost a century past without taking it personally. (You have no sense of humor at all, do you?)

My life hasn’t made me bitter, its having an incredibly small penis and not being able to shag Jennifer Anniston thats made me bitter.
That and Patrick O’Brian dying a couple of years ago.
And all of the bloody soaps taking up T.V. airspace…bastards!

Well, maybe I was wrong about the “no sense of humor” thing…
