Actually, they may want to rally around him and pray he loses. That way his version of conservatism can be declared discredited, and they can pretend he threw it to the Democrats.
Any right of center third party candidate will do nothing but guarantee a Dem victory. For that matter, a Trump nomination also probably guarantees a Dem victory.
Not likely. These are not people in close touch with reality. For example, they believe these two things simultaneously:
- the borders are porous and only a wall can enforce immigration policy
- we should immediately ban travel by foreign Muslims to keep terrorists out
If a wall is necessary, then doesn’t it follow that any immigration pan will be pointless until AFTER a wall is raised? By Mexico, of course… :smack:
The way Trump works, I’m sure a failed election will be answered with something like “I heard from someone who heard that maybe illegal immigrants are voting fraudulently.”
