What is a Thunder Lizzard?

Searches are futile.

What is the origin of this term (that my CEO uses)?

Is a thunder lizzard real? Or is this some goofy Jim Morrison reference? And I mean that in a nice way.

Help!

A dinosaur, specifically brontosaurus. The word brontosaurus translates to “Thunder Lizard”…

Of course, the creature commonly called “brontosaurus” is more correctly “apatosaurus”, that being the name given it by the first guy to find one.

Obligatory link to Cecil’s column on the subject.

If you’re searching on “Lizzard,” yes, it will be futile.
