What is an alternative to a 9" springform pan for a cheesecake

I was wanting to make a cheesecake and I do not have a 9" springform pan. What can I use as an alternative?

Would an 8x8 rectangular pan (2.25" high) work? If that is too small, what about just using a 9x13? If I do that the cake will not be as high, but it’ll still cook without spilling over the edges.

I can just leave it in the pan, so I don’t need the springform pan for that.

If I am substituting springform with a glass pan how would that require me to change the cooking time/temp? Would I cook at a different temp for a different time?

You want to match surface area, ideally, to get the closest to the recipe.

A 9" circular pan (springform) has an area of pi*(d/2)^2, or pi81/4 sq. in. =~ 63.6 sq. in.
An 8" square pan has an area of 8
8, or 64 sq. in.

You’re fine on area, but know that the cheesecake will likely bake unevenly at the corners.

If it’s actually an 8" glass dish, add a few minutes to baking time, and try to cool it fairly quickly when you pull it out.

Also consider lining the pan with foil and then you can still pull it out if you like.
