Scenesters, usually female, bi-guys, or gay guys, hang with the emos/skaters (not so much with the goths). They tend to wear a fair amount of black, but with very bright colors. The wear goofy props, as seen here. No, none of those are TheKid. While an emo kid will wear black/white/red, the scenesters live for florescent pinks, lime greens, and electric blue - be it their hair, eye shadow, or shoe laces. Like the emos/skaters, they will DIE if they don’t wear skinny jeans.
Yesterday TheKid went to a party with a bunch of her friends - the mondo teased unnatural colored hair, the eye and guyliner was thick (TheKid gets teased for no raccoon eyes), the jeans were like cellophane, and all but the few skaters were wearing black, black/white checkered, white with drawn graphics hi-top Converse. All were wearing band Ts (Paramore, Forever the Sickest Kids, Atreyu, Marilyn Manson and Aiden for the most part). The three stoners were in their bajas, bandanas, and unwashed jeans.

Frylock: I dunno, TheKid and her group don’t mind the tag scenester. They will disparage others, calling them wannabe scene’ers - just like there are wannabe emos and wannabe skaters.
