What is extremely common in TV or movies but almost never happens in real life?

Yes, lima beans are green in my experience too.

Some southern states in the US also call lima beans butterbeans. I think it refers only to the big tan ones. An NBA player from Louisiana had the nickname butterbean and I think I recall a pro-wrestler with a Junior Samples vibe with the same nickname.

When I hear Butterbean, I think Eric Esch.

I wonder if it was ever theatrically used where it wasn’t a comic bit- like it was supposed to represent a real horse.

Oh yeah, that happens. But totally unable to talk? Very rare.

I was told by a vendor at the farmer’s market (southern US) that butter beans and lima beans are the same bean, the difference is in how large they are allowed to grow before being picked.

Well, beans can have a wide range of colour and appearance. You can get green lima beans, and you can get tan broad beans. They are, however, totally different species.

Lima beans are Phaseolus lunatus
Broad beans, also knows as fava beans, are Vicia faba

You’re probably right.

Ironically, I ran into the battery problem just yesterday!

I was out running errands, with a doctor appointment as the last stop. The doctor was running behind, so sure enough, as I sat there surfing and doing a crossword on my phone, my battery ran down to about 15%. I always have my phone plugged in when I’m driving, but probably the cord wasn’t fully pushed into the USB jack or something like that. It was an unusual case, but it’s funny that it happened to me just now.

Yet it has happened to me a good half-dozen times in my life.

Or the only reason why prison riots occur is to provide a cover for a single prisoner to escape.

There have got to be at least two performers in the Mr. Snuffleupagus costume (Wish I could embed the image.) The way his costume is made, though, the person doing the rear legs might just be short (and for that matter, a woman), as opposed to leaning over, because the costume had a sort of humped back.

He’s played for laughs, but not “look how silly the costume is” laughs. The costume is actually pretty good.

Sometimes more than one.

I just saw this on The Witcher. Someone has to join in some elaborate medieval style group dance but somehow is able to participate and not look like a fool despite never having seen the dance before.

Like here.

Well sure. But I was referring to this scene. He had never heard of the dance until 30 seconds before this starts.

Which makes this one good, since he just made shit up, so the steps cant be wrong:
Dance scene from A Knight’s Tale.

However, The Ladys costume is ridiculous.

Well, you know how old people always look at young people dancing and say “Why, that’s nothing but the old Sugarfoot Stomp we did back in the day!” What with Geralt and Yennefer being centuries old…

There was a popular comedy duo who performed as Butterbeans and Susie in the early to mid 20th century.

Lima beans are green, and vary in size. Broad beans are yellow or tan, and quite large.

I like broad beans’ flavor, but they make me very gassy, so I don’t eat them.
