I’m puzzled that your question is generalized to amazon, when it’s only one product you’re asking about. It’s a VAST organization, and yeah, there are going to be glitches and inconsistencies.

I need the glue that’s in a tube. Glue sticks don’t hold very well, and I’m working on 3-d moving things that need to stick together really well. I do have some of the Uhu glue sticks. They’re actually very good–they go on smoothly and don’t get gloppy like other glue sticks.

I pretty much click the ‘Prime’ filter first thing, since dealing with 3rd party fulfillers is irritating, so it’s been a while. But I was definitely under the impression that Amazon didn’t show a count of in-stock inventory unless they were the fulfiller. Just poking around a bit I didn’t see any counter-examples.
